FABULOUS

I saw this show - twice - in Brighton last week after previously seeing it in in Oxford a few months ago. It was fantastic then and it's even better now, tightened up. It's a wonderful night with a super talented cast who sing, act and dance a storm. There were a couple of understudies covering lead roles on the nights I came due to illness but you never would have guessed. After a while, you almost believe it's the original Osmonds out there and the standing ovation at the end was deserved. The cast really give it their all. Puppy Love was a show stopper. Osmonds the Musical deserves to go to the West End. (I enjoyed it more than Jersey Boys). Well done Jay Osmond for all your hard work in bringing this labour of love to fruition - we love it for a reason.

THE OSMONDS MUSICIAL

Omg was watching the musicial in aberdeen ,Wednesday 2nd Nov. This musicial is so superb, the actor's was just excellent, even the little ones. The story was so well written by jay, can't fault it at all.Just a pity the fire alarm went off just be for the first half,so everyone was outside in the cold, windy rainy night for about 15 minutes . So enjoyed singing and dancing to the music, pity its all done.I would tell everyone to go and see it,a morman fan or not.

VERY POOR

*Sunderland Empire is a great old building managed by really good staff. *The Osmond's was a very poor show. *The Lady singer had a great voice (Marie). *All the Guys were amateur at best. *Along with cheap costumes and wigs from a joke shop. *The young members gave the older audience a short lift but overall very poor production.

DISAPPOINTED

I was looking forward to this show as I love musicals and in particular those that are autobiographical / true stories. I grew up with The Osmonds music, loved Donny & Marie when they performed together and I had their music on tape, albums and had posters on my bedroom wall but…… I am afraid to say I left at the interval, that is the first time I have ever left the theatre early for a professional show and I have seen numerous musicals in London as well as the Theatre Royal in Brighton, The Hawth, Eastbourne Congress and Worthing Pavilion. I was disappointed, the set was very bland in my opinion and I just couldn’t fully engage with the story and never at any point did I get ‘swept up’ by it all, it just felt flat. The first half was 90 minutes long and sadly I was bored and couldn’t face the second half - it may have got better as the show went on but I really couldn’t be bothered to sit through another 75 minutes of it in order to find out. It wasn’t for me, the story and concept could have been something really good but I’m afraid I found the whole production rather lacking.

COULD BE SO MUCH MORE

This feels like a first draft script. Would benefit froma ppfessionall injection from people outside jay Osmonds experience, as was a bit self indulgent. I would have like to have seen more about Marue and the older bothers who were death. IThe show alluded to being pushed out when donny and marie had their own show and I was a bit confused as to what was being insinuatted about Meriill , when Jay say 'how was i supposed to know'. In my ond it was pointing to a mental health tragedy pr suidide but when I google after the show, Merill is still going gigs/talks and directed the marie and donny show that they were being 'pushed out from', Definitley needs more objective input. I would have been nice may be at the end to see reall footage from their get together gig in the background, The stage design could have been more creative. Lots of lose threads. Maybe the producers could watch the Jersey boys ...such a shame that the osmonds musical could not be celebrated in a more upbeat storyline
