Scottish Ballet celebrate Gene Kelly
Scottish Ballet celebrate Gene Kelly
Bringing back the artistry of Gene Kelly, Scottish Ballet's Starstruck returns in 2026! The newly expanded two-act production celebrates the golden age of dance and cinema through a contemporary lens, with modern choreography meeting Kelly's legendary flair and his original Pas de Dieux. Starstruck tells a love story that holds myth up to the light with reality, through a tale passion between dancer and choreographer that echoes that of their godly equivalents Aphrodite and Zeus.
Artistic Director Christopher Hampson CBE reimagines the glamour of Hollywood and the drama of Olympus in collaboration with Patricia Ward Kelly, Gene's widow. The classic sounds of Gershwin and Ravel are brought to life by the Scottish Ballet Orchestra.
