Why see Scottish Opera - Tristan und Isolde?
The Epic Second Act
A tale almost a thousand years old, Tristan and Isolde has long been considered the ultimate tale of passionate, romantic love in forbidden circumstances. With its universal theme of all-consuming love and bitter-sweet tragedy, it fits perfectly into Wagner's repertoire of epics, and the composer's opera is often considered one of the greatest ever. Scottish Opera bring this brilliant work to Glasgow's Theatre Royal for a strictly limited run of just two shows, under the direction of Justin Way, with Stuart Stratford conducting and a host of excellent soloists bringing the monumental production to life.
